End-Of-Life And Bereavement Workers: We Need You

Our brains are wired to run away from pain.
The saber-toothed tiger.
The hot stove.
And yes, even death itself.
So why do some people choose to sit in the discomfort of death? To sit at the bedside of someone who is dying? To bring hope and healing to the loved ones they’ve left behind?
In my humble opinion, it’s a calling. It goes against our natural instincts and inclinations. It requires a supernatural grace to do that work.
I don’t feel called to do it. And I think most of the people on the planet would be right along with me on Team Not-At-The-Bedside-Of-A-Dying-Person. We look at the people who do that work and say, “I couldn’t do that.”
But guess what? Someone has to (or rather, “gets to”) do that work. People are dying every minute of the day and need loving arms to usher them out of this world and into the next. We need the people who are doing that work, who have that calling, who are on Team At-The-Bedside-Of-A-Dying-Person.
That’s why my company exists… in order to support the beautiful people on that beautiful Team. Our hope is that they can stay in the end-of-life and bereavement field as long as their hearts desire, and not leave their work because of burnout.
If you work in the end-of-life field, you have my love, admiration, and my gratitude.
And you have my support. Let me and my team fill your cup, so that you can continue to live out your calling.
Reach out to me. Or better yet, come to one of our events (see below!) We love pouring love on you and helping you feel rejuvenated in your work.
We need you.
If you work in the end-of-life or bereavement field, you will LOVE our virtual Transformative Storytelling event on September 26th, 7-8PM Eastern! Click here for all the details!
